Blue Diamonds

Blue diamonds owe their color to the presence of boron which absorbs the red, yellow, and green parts of the spectrum resulting in a blue color. Modifying colors for blue diamonds include gray, violet, or green.

The most famous of all blue diamonds is the 45-carat Hope Diamond. Valued at $250 million, the Hope Diamond is believed to be cursed furthering the mysterious nature of blue diamonds.
